In the case of divorce, this includes the process of preparing a Financial Affidavit and will result in all the assets, debts, income and expense information that you will need to provide to your attorney.  In some divorce cases, this may require that we prepare a complete Lifestyle Analysis.

We will document all assets and associated liabilities to determine a complete financial picture.

Assets may include: Real Estate, Employee Benefits (Deferred Compensation, Stock Options, Pension Plans, 401K, 403B), Cash, Investment Accounts, Personal Property, privately owned businesses

Liabilities may include: Mortgages, Loans, Credit Cards, Business Obligations

Mitchell Hayes will analyze your and your spouses’ information; develop trend analysis to verify accuracy and completeness; and ensuring that all contingencies and pitfalls are considered.

If inaccuracies are discovered, we will want to further investigate, broaden discovery, and if necessary will work closely with you and your attorney to ensure we have all information.

Based on your goals and priorities as well as our findings, Mitchell Hayes will develop three solid financial scenarios that will show you the short and long term result and ramifications of different settlement options.  We strive to honor both spouses' priorities and wishes when developing your customized scenarios to facilitate settlement.

We will utilize a Marital Balance Sheet to display the division of assets and debts that can be used in mediation or court. We also provide you with graphs and spreadsheets for your Budgeted Cash Flow and Net Worth for 10 - 20 years post divorce.

We will review these scenarios with you and, in the case of a pending divorce, with your attorney. After this review we will make any necessary changes for your path forward.

Mitchell Hayes often participates in mediation either as a financial neutral or representing one of the parties to answer any questions or provide additional information.

Mitchell Hayes will provide follow up services once the settlement has been reached to ensure that all post-divorce details are completed, tools to execute the settlement are provided, and we will answer any final financial questions. We will refer our clients to other needed professionals who can ensure that the plan that we develop will be successfully implemented and assist them in the next steps of their individual journeys.
